What does an AI consultant do?
An AI consultant helps a business decide where AI is worth using and how to adopt it safely. At Indubitably that means assessing your workflows, recommending specific tools or systems with expected costs and benefits, and, if you choose, building and deploying them.
How much does AI consulting cost?
The price follows the scope. After an initial conversation you receive a written proposal covering deliverables, assumptions, and cost before any work begins. Many projects start with a focused assessment of a single workflow.
Do we need an AI strategy before we start?
No. Most engagements begin with a focused assessment of one or two workflows rather than a company-wide strategy. A practical first project teaches more than a long planning exercise, and the assessment tells you whether broader investment makes sense.
Is AI consulting worth it for a small business?
It can be, when the work is repetitive and the volume is real. We look for tasks that take hours every week and have a clear right answer. If the numbers don’t justify a project, the assessment will say so.
What kinds of work can AI take off our plate?
Good candidates are repetitive, text-heavy tasks with a clear right answer: sorting and routing email, extracting information from documents, preparing recurring reports, drafting replies from your own policies, and moving information between the software you already use. Work that needs judgment gets a human review step.
What does “local AI” mean?
At Indubitably it means two things. Local as in here: an AI consultant and engineer based in Pacific City, Oregon, working directly with Oregon businesses. And local as in yours: AI systems deployed in accounts you control where practical, with clear agreements about where your data lives and which providers can process it.
Do you work with businesses outside Pacific City?
Yes. Indubitably works with businesses across Oregon, including the Oregon Coast, the Portland metro area, the Willamette Valley, Central Oregon, and Southern Oregon. Most work happens remotely, with in-person meetings arranged when they are useful.
Can AI work with our data without putting it in a public chatbot?
Yes. Before anything is built, we agree where data can live, which AI providers may process it, and what access the system needs. Depending on the job, that can mean business API agreements that exclude training on your data, or models running on infrastructure you control. We explain the cost and capability tradeoffs of each option.
Who owns what you build?
Ownership, account access, and handover are agreed in the project scope. We build in accounts you control where practical and identify any third-party or open-source licenses involved.
